Thursday 27th July 2017.
So here it was, our 1st 7 a side game as a new team. Andy, mitch and myself were talking for weeks about this game as we wanted to start off with a bang.
Originally the game was meant to have an A and B fixture but due to holidays starting I only had 10 players available.
1st half started and we ask the boys just to concentrate and not to rush passes. First 10/15 mins we were a bit rusty with the passes and lucky enough to be 1-0 up through Lil Mitch tap in at far post. Each minute that went past the Barham boys were getting more comfortable on the ball and the simple passing was getting effective. Half time came along and we were up 3-2 with our two other goals coming from Kian and Seth.
Half time team talk consisted of us coaches just telling the boys to not Rush and we will win this game comfortably if we just do the simple things.
Main change in the 2nd half was Jack coming out if goal and Mitch replacing him. We put jack straight up top to see if he can get himself on the score sheet.
So much happened in the 2nd half in such a short period of time I couldn’t keep up to date with all the goals but all us coaches could notice is that we were just getting better and better with Kesgrave not coping with passing, teamwork and our deadly finishing.
Full time result was 9-4 to us mighty B.A.F.C.

Every player was amazing and made there own contribution to this fantastic game. Couple shout outs to Kian who made his Debut and managed a great Hat trick and shout out to the whole squad for working as team to end our 1st game with an emphatic victory. Thanks to Martin for reffing.
