Safeguarding children is very important to us at Barham Athletic Youth Football Club. We take child protection and best practice extremely seriously at our club.
We believe safeguarding children is about following the correct procedures and doing things properly. It’s about allowing children to enjoy the game without abuse of any kind. That means ensuring that they are not subjected to bullying, physical, emotional or sexual abuse or neglect.
We want football to have a powerful positive influence on the children at our club and we take the responsibility of looking after the children that want to play football here very seriously. That is why we have a Club Code of Conduct and ensure all our coaches, managers and key volunteers are DBS checked and have attended, or will be attending, a Level 1 coaching course, which includes attendance of a Safeguarding Children Workshop.
Our Club Code of Conduct and other rules are contained within our ‘Youth Players & Parents Welcome Pack’ which is available to download by clicking the following link – Youth Welcome Pack
